Robert Hawkins and the MHA-Pueblo Annual Award

In 2002 the MHAP had planned that the 2003 recipient of our annual mental health tribute would be Bob Hawkins. Mr. Hawkins retired as the superintendent of the Colorado Mental Health Institute Pueblo on the 30th of June 2002. Unfortunately we learned of Mr. Hawkins early death on July 12, 2002. In January 2003 the presentation was changed to the "Robert Hawkins Award." Sharon Hawkins, Bob's widow made the presentation on May 15, 2003 to our first new recipient.
